The 30-year-old Italian will not want to follow his side into Serie B following their relegation from Serie A, and he would jump at the chance to join Torino, who are currently eighth in the table.
Maniero has attracted the interest from several clubs in Italy but Venezia chairman Maurizio Zamparini is keen to get as much money for him as possible.
Torino chairman Francesco Ciminelli says that the club will not go mad in the summer transfer market, but is looking to bring in a couple of new faces.
"We will sign two or three players, no more. I want that some of the players of Torino Primavera are promoted to first team," said Ciminelli.
It has been reported that the player has also been chased by Roma and this is thought to be the first choice of Maniero.
