AEK Athens have sealed the signing of Stefano Sorrentino from Torino.

The 26-year-old has arrived at AEK on a free transfer.

The former Lazio and Juventus goalkeeper has inked a three-year deal at the Greek club.

Sorrentino was delighted to make the move to AEK and feels he is taking a step up in his career.

"I am very happy about this move," Sorrentino told the club's official website. "I already knew that AEK Athens were one of the best teams in Greece.

"I will do my best in order to have a good season and to satisfy the fans of my new club.

"I wanted to take my career a step further. That's why I chose AEK Athens."

AEK could be about to make it a double swoop on Italy by signing Lecce's Bruno Cirillo.

The 28-year-old has arrived in Greece for talks after Lecce agreed a fee with AEK and he is expected to sign with the capital club in the next few days.
