Roma and Milan have been keeping tabs on the stopper, but his club are playing down the speculation concerning his future.
"I prefer avoiding any type of comment at the moment," Chievo press officer Vera Tomellari told planetfootball.com.
"I know also the news is circulating involving Legrottaglie and Arsenal.
"Many journalists have asked me if I saw Arsenal's accreditations but I can say that I never saw any of them for English observers because obviously there weren't observers here.
"The name of Legrottaglie is tied to many clubs but it's much too soon to talk about possible negotiations."
Tomellari affirmed there will not be any new arrivals at the Verona outfit in January.
"I want to repeat what our president Luca Campedelli stated during a chat on our official website," Tomellari added.
"There won't be signings because he considers the team complete as it is now."
