Group B round-up

Standard Leige stunned Parma in the Uefa Cup, while Steaua Bucharest top the group.

Standard Leige came from a goal down to stun Parma 2-1 in the Uefa Cup, while Steaua Bucharest won to top the group.

Italian side Parma took the lead in Belgium when Andrea Pisanu scored a minute before half time.

However, the hosts were not overawed, and Karel Geraerts drew the sides level on 54 minutes.

With the game heading for a draw, Michel Garbini popped up with a dramatic late winner for Standard to stun the Italians.

Liege got their first points of Group B to join Parma, Athletic Bilbao and Besiktas who all sit on three points.

In a tight group, Walter Zenga's Steaua sit on top with six points after they beat Besiktas in Romania.

Adrian Neaga caught the visitors cold when he scored the opener after just three minutes had been played at the Ghencea Stadium.

The Turkish defence failed to cope with a dangerous cross from the left and Neaga was left to finish past Besiktas goalkeeper Ramazan Kursunlu.

Steaua were 2-0 up after just 18 minutes, and Neaga was involved again as he powered down the right flank before squaring across the box for Cristian Cioccoiu to convert.

Daniel Oprita put Steaua under pressure for the final 11 minutes as he was booked twice in two minutes to get himself sent off - with the second yellow card for a needless handball.

Ibrahim Akin pulled a goal back for Besiktas three minutes from time but it was too little too late for the Turkish outfit.
