Werder consider Schulz future

Christian Schulz is being strongly linked with a move away from Werder Bremen.

Former German Under-21 international Christian Schulz is strongly linked with a move away from Werder Bremen with Hannover and Wolfsburg eyeing his situation.

The talented right-back has lost his place in Thomas Schaaf's team against Cameroon star Pierre Wome.

He is now keen to leave the Weserstadion this summer despite having a contract until 2008, in order to find a club which offers him the chance of more regular first team football.

"Generally speaking we are willing to listen to options concerning Christian's future and we are in contact with some clubs," confirmed Klaus Allofs (pictured), Bremen's director of sport.

While Wolfsburg coach Felix Magath is a known fan of the youngster, northern rivals Hannover seem to be leading the race for the versatile player, who can also star in a holding midfield role.
