Schalke striker hurt after tangle with team-mate
Schalke striker Soren Larsen has been hospitalised after a training ground clash with keeper Manuel Neuer.
The Danish international suffered three broken ribs after colliding with Neuer during a training session last Thursday, say officials of the Bundesliga outfit.
The 25-year-old is expected to be sidelined for around six weeks following the incident.
Pushed
Larsen told Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet that he was pushed by team-mate Mladen Krstajic before colliding with Neuer.
But Schalke coach Mirko Slomka dismissed Larsen's claims and stressed the incident was "unlucky" and "not serious enough to take action."
