Klose lands German award

Miroslav Klose has been voted Die Bundesliga's Player of the Year.

Powerful Werder Bremen striker Miroslav Klose has been voted Die Bundesliga's Player of the Year by his fellow professionals.

The Germany international, who will lead the host nation's attack at this summer's World Cup, topped the Bundesliga scoring charts with 25 goals and won the Kicker poll with a huge 48.6 percent of the vote.

Hamburg's stylish Holland international midfielder Rafael van der Vaart came in second place.

Hannover custodian Robert Enke won the award for Goalkeeper of the Year, whilst Hamburg coach Thomas Doll was rewarded for his team's fine season with the Coach of the Year award.
