Yakin expected to end Stuttgart adventure

Switzerland international Hakan Yakin is expected to end his spell with Bundesliga side Stuttgart after little more than seven months and is reportedly in negotiations about a move to Turkey.

The classy forward has failed to settle in Stuttgart since his ‚é¼2.5 million transfer from Basel during the winter break of 2003/04 and new coach Matthias Sammer has now told him that he would not block any move, if the 27-year-old would like to leave the Gottlieb-Daimler-Stadium.

Yakin, son of Turkish parents, has recently hinted that he would like to move to Turkey and according to German newspaper reports, Istanbul giants Galatasaray and Besiktas are believed to be keen on the playmaker, who had only an indifferent campaign at Euro 2004 when Switzerland crashed out at the group stages.

Stuttgart would be Yakin's second transfer flop after the controversial character had seen a deal with French outfit Paris Saint Germain collapse after an argument about how to treat a knee injury.
