Jurica Vranjes wants to stay at Stuttgart, despite limited opportunities this season
Jurica Vranjes has suggested that he is willing to extend his spell with in-form Stuttgart, despite having lost a regular place in the starting line-up of Matthias Sammer's side.
Sammer has given the defensive midfielder only six appearances as a substitute for VfB this season but the 24-year-old, who had previously failed to impress during his time at Bayer Leverkusen, is desperate to get things right at the Gottlieb-Daimler stadium after a promising first season in 2003-04.
The Croatian international - capped 12 times for his country - said: "I talked to the coach and wanted to know if I am still in his plans. That is the case and he wants me to stay.
"Stuttgart have a young and promising squad and although I would love to play more often.
"I am confident that my time will come."
