Pizarro looks to Juve

Bayern Munich's Claudio Pizarro insists he would like to play for Juventus next season.

Bayern Munich's Peruvian striker Claudio Pizarro has admitted he would like to play for Juventus next season.

Pizarro's contract is due to expire in the summer and as yet Bayern have shown no interest in retaining the player's services.

"If the club makes a proposal to me it will have to be according to my expectations otherwise I will be free to chose where I want to play," he said.

"I know that Juventus are interested. For the moment nobody has got in touch with me but I would like very much to play for Juventus.

"My agent, Carlos Delgado, is analysing several offers and we will see which is the best one for me.

"My family is very comfortable in Germany but it is also very nice to have the chance to play in Italy."

Pizarro holds an Italian passport because his grandfather, Manfredo Bossio, is from Turin.

The striker has also been linked with Valencia, Sevilla and Barcelona alongside Marseille and his old club Werder Bremen.
