Ziegler keen on Hannover stay

Hannover's on-loan keeper Marc Ziegler is not interested in returning to Austria Vienna and wants a permanent deal at the AWD-Arena.

The giant custodian started his career with Stuttgart and Arminia Bielefeld, but then left Germany for ultimately disappointing spells in Turkey and Austria and is now determined to win a long-term future in Die Bundesliga.

"I am absolutely happy here and want to stay with the 96ers," said Ziegler.

Ziegler had been surplus to requirements with the Austrian champions, but has used his chance to impress Hannover coach Ralf Rangnick since joining the club last summer and quickly replaced former number one Gerhard Tremmel with a string of fine performances.

Austria Vienna have put a ‚é¼500,000 price tag on him and as soon as a deal is agreed, Ziegler is expected to sign a contract until 2007 with the Reds.
