Bundesliga round-up

Hannover eased the pressure on coach Ewald Lienen with a 4-1 win at Cologne.

Hannover eased the pressure on under-fire coach Ewald Lienen with a 4-1 destruction of Cologne away from home.

Lienen has been the subject of mounting speculation about his future at Hannover but Sunday's result would have filled him with relief.

After a scoreless first half, Cologne drew first blood when Albert Streit scored on 47 minutes.

Within 60 seconds, Hannover were back on level terms, when Jiri Stajner scored and the visitors were in front through Thomas Brdaric on 53 minutes.

The flurry of goals continued with Ricardo Sousa's penalty on 56 minutes and Brdaric netted his second of the game with 20 minutes remaining.

Eintracht Frankfurt lifted themselves off the bottom of the Bundesliga table with Alexander Meier's 27th minute goal earning the points at fellow strugglers Duisburg.
