The 29-year-old, who is currently recognised as one of the best defensive midfielders in the Turkish Superlig, is determined to return to Germany when his contract expires at the end of the season.
Zdebel has revealed talks between his agent and the Bundesliga side are underway, but as yet no deal has been finalised.
"I had good talks with them and we are moving closer to agreeing a deal," the midfielder told Kicker.
Bochum coach Peter Neururer (pictured), who knows Zdebel from their common spell at Cologne, is sure that the Pole would fit in well at the Ruhrstadion.
"After his time in Cologne he went to Belgium and then Turkey and enjoyed a remarkable development. He is a highly interesting candidate for us," claimed Neururer.
