Kezman double sinks Heerenveen

PSV EINDHOVEN booked their place in the semi-finals of the Amstel Cup with a 2-1 win over Heerenveen, while Ajax were made to work hard before seeing off Groningen 4-1.

Mateja Kezman was the hero for Guus Hiddink`s PSV, as he scored the second-half goals that beat a plucky Heerenveen outfit.

The talented forward headed PSV in front on 51 minutes, and took advantage of some space to fire home the second ten minutes from time.

PSV took their foot off the gas and Georgios Samaras slotted home a consolation in injury-time.

Dutch champions Ajax joined PSV in the last four with a home win over Groningen.

Wesley Sneijder netted the first on 31 minutes, with Swedish forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic heading home the second shortly after the break.

Jordi Hoogstrate pulled one back shortly afterwards, but Groningen could not snatch a second and they were made to pay when Nourdin Boukhari added a third for Ajax 20 minutes from time.

Martin Drent had a chance to produce a tense final ten minutes, but he missed a penalty and Ajax snatched a late fourth through Ibrahimovic to put a flattering scoreline on the game.

Feyenoord had to battle to see off Vitesse Arnhem 3-1 at De Kuip.

Bob Peeters cancelled out Bonaventure Kalou`s opener, but Feyenoord booked their place in the semis thanks to two second-half goals from Robin van Persie.
