RKC RENEW FUCHS BID

RKC WAALWIJK appear to be closing in on the capture of Robert Fuchs, despite PSV Eindhoven earlier insisting that the player was staying put.

RKC have been continually thwarted in their efforts to sign the midfielder, despite him being just a fringe player at the Philips Stadion.

However, it would seem that RKC have renewed their interest and talks could be underway by the end of the week.

Fuchs has failed to make an impression under Erik Gerets, and spent last season on loan with De Graafschap, and he may be happy to cement a permanent move to resurrect his career.

Meanwhile, PSV keeper Ronald Waterreus (pictured) has suffered yet another setback and could be out until the New Year.

The 31-year-old has not played since a Champions League clash with Galatasaray on September 19, after undergoing surgery on an elbow injury.

He attempted to step up his comeback during last month, but opened up the wound in training and he has done exactly the same again.

The wound needed stitching again, meaning he will have to put his return on hold.
