Eredivisie round-up

PSV Eindhoven survived a scare before running out 3-1 victors over RKC Waalwijk to move top of De Eredivisie.

Theo Lucius fired PSV in front on three minutes but the visitors were level before half time courtesy of Virgilio Teixeira's effort.

But the reigning champions stepped up the tempo after the break and Arjen Robben (pictured) put PSV back in the lead ten minutes into the second period.

The points were secured with just over quarter of an hour remaining when Lucius poached his second goal of the game.

Feyenoord suffered a setback in their quest to remain on the heels of the leaders as they were beaten 4-2 at Twente Enschede.

Blaise N'Kufo's double inside 30 minutes had Twente in control but the visitors reduced the arrears courtesy of Dirk Kuyt just before the interval.

Collins John and Sjaak Polak's penalty had Twente firmly in command, with a late strike from Sebastian Pardo giving the scoreline a touch more respectability for Feyenoord.

RBC Roosendaal were held at home by Heerenveen as Georgios Samaras' 75th minute strike cancelled out Sammy Youssouf's first half opener for the hosts.

James Quinn's 35th minute goal was sufficient for Willem II Tilburg to overcome ADO Den Haag away from home although the visitors played the final 20 minutes with ten men after Romano Denneboom's dismissal.
