Polak wants new Twente deal

Sjaak Polak has told Twente to up the ante as the two parties continue to talk about a new contract.

The 27-year-old is eager to extend his three-year association with Twente, but is determined to secure the best possible deal.

"They have to change some things," Polak told Twentsche Courant Tubantia. "Some things about the financial situation, but also with the feeling.

"I really want to stay at FC Twente, it's a beautiful club."

Polak, who has been at Twente since February 2001, is an integral member of the squad.

The defender has recently won his place back in the team under Rene Vandereycken and will hope an extended run in the team will bring the reward of a new deal.
