Vrede considering his options

REGILLIO VREDE`S proposed move to Ukrainian side Metalurg seems set to fall through, with RKC Waalwijk and Greek outfit Iraklis now vying for his services.

The player was set to move from Roda JC along with Bernard Tchoutang but, like his team-mate, he seems set to reject the offer.

Tchoutang travelled to Ukraine thinking he was on the brink of signing for Shakhtar Donetsk, but found out on arrival that it was Metalurg on his trail.

After thinking over the move, Tchoutang said: "They (Shakhtar) are a top club and I liked the idea, but I won't go to another club there.

"I would rather play in the second squad of Roda."

It would seem that Vrede is going to follow suit, but he will not stay at Roda.

Speaking to Limburgs Dagblad, Vrede said: "I don't want to say the deal is completely off, but the urge to go to Donetsk has become a lot less."

A move to his former club RKC Waalwijk clearly appeals to Vrede, but Greek side Iraklis are also in the running for the defender.

"The chance is reasonably big that I will go back to RKC. But again, nothing is set yet," he added.

Iraklis have matched Roda`s demands for the defender, but it remains to be seen if Vrede consents to move.
