ANDERLECHT LOOKING AT BABOS

ANDERLECHT are the latest team to show an interest in NAC Breda`s highly-rated keeper Gabor Babos.

Both Arsenal and Feyenoord have been monitoring the Hungarian`s progress, with The Gunners looking to find a long-term replacement for David Seaman, while the Rotterdam club are eyeing up a possible new keeper should Jurzy Dudek leave De Kuip.

Babos is in his first season with the Eredivisie outfit and his performances have attracted interest from a plethora of clubs, with the Belgian side the latest to add their name to the list of suitors.

Anderlecht`s current first-choice custodian Fillip de Wilde is suffering with a long-term foot injury and, at the age of 36, his best days may well be behind him.

Babos has stated that he would like to remain with Breda for a further season and, as a result, Anderlecht have put together a list of other candidates that include Extremadura`s Ronny Gasperic, Lajos Szucs, who is on loan at Ferencvaros from Kaiserslautern, and Everton`s out-of-favour keeper Thomas Myhre.
