New deals for NAC duo

NAC Breda have handed professional contracts to two defensive starlets.

NAC Breda have handed professional contracts to defensive starlets Ivo van Engelen and Muhammet Demir.

The 20-year-old van Engelen has been handed an 18-month contract, while 17-year-old stopper Demir has put his name to a two-and-a-half-year deal.

Van Engelen has already made his first team bow for NAC, while highly rated Turkey star Demir is expected to make the grade in the near future.

NAC, meanwhile, are rumoured to be ready to appoint Ruud Brood as their new coach in the summer.

The Breda side have struggled in the Eredivisie this term and reports suggest Brood will take the reins next summer - with Australia assistant coach Graham Arnold set to act as his deputy.
