The 25-year-old has been ravaged by injuries this season and he is in his last year of his deal at Nijmegen.
The former Barnsley ace has accepted the opportunity to resume his international career when he returns to fitness, but he admitted that he may leave Nijmegen at the end of the season.
"I don't know, I just have that feeling," Hristov told Dutch daily De Gelderlander.
