Robbo full of hope

Paul Robinson feels there were plenty of positives to take from the draw with Holland.

Paul Robinson feels there were plenty of positives to take from England's draw with Holland and is disappointed the players will not get the chance to build on the performance until next year.

The Three Lions bounced back from their poor performances against FYR Macedonia and in Croatia to push the Dutch to the limit in Amsterdam.

Only a late goal from Rafael van der Vaart prevented the Dutch from slipping to defeat on home soil and the display drew praise from England keeper Robinson.

Robinson feels the players answered their critics in the best way possible, but is downcast that England do not play again until February.

"We are disappointed with what happened at Croatia and post Croatia," he told Sky Sports News. "But I think we went some way to putting that right tonight.

"We played like an England team can and should play and it gives us something to build on.

"It is just a shame the next game is not for another couple of months now."
