Jeff Stelling takes on the punters with his Super 6 League One predictions

Jeff Stelling is on hand with his Soccer Saturday Super 6 predictions ahead of the fifth round of the football prediction game.

Last week the Soccer Saturday host predicted a potential upset at Stamford Bridge but didn't foresee defeats for Chelsea, Liverpool or Stoke in the 3pm Super 6 matches.

This weekend Sky Bet League 1 matches take centre-stage and Jeff's looked into his crystal ball and is tipping Walsall and Gillingham to maintain their winning form and lowly Crewe to nick a point against Swindon.

Punters predict: 29% say Barnsley 2-1 Shrewsbury

JEFF SAYS: "I'm in agreement with the 29% here. A lot of people will have seen Barnsley against Everton in the Capital One Cup who were really, really impressive. I particularly like Conor Hourihane up front, he's a very talented player. Lee Johnson looks to play attacking football, they usually score goals. They are up against a Shrewsbury side who were promoted, are well organised but don't score enough goals for me and that's why I think they will struggle at this level."

Jeff predicts: Barnsley 2-1 Shrewsbury

Punters predict: 20% say Gillingham 2-1 Doncaster

JEFF SAYS: "I fancy a Gillingham win here, maybe even more emphatic. They've won their last five home league games which is their best run they've had at home for 15 years. They are pretty impressive under Justin Edinburgh, in fact his record since he moved from Newport has been phenomenal and they have loads of scoring options. By contrast Doncaster don't have firepower and haven't scored in four of their eight matches this season which is a big worry."

Jeff predicts: Gillingham 3-0 Doncaster

Punters predict: 27% say Scunthorpe 2-0 Blackpool

JEFF SAYS: "Blackpool are in freefall and have been since their Premier League days and I see no sign of the fall slowing and think they'll probably be playing in League 2 next season. They haven't won in 23 league games, that says it all. The slight concern is that Scunthorpe struggled to break down Millwall in their last league game, who are not the most sound defensively themselves. But they have some good strikers like Paddy Madden and I think they'll be way too good for the Seasiders."

Jeff predicts: Scunthorpe 3-0 Blackpool

Punters predict: 25% say Crewe 1-2 Swindon

JEFF SAYS: "Swindon have made an okay start to the season and had a fantastic season last year until it came to the play-off final when they imploded. Crewe haven't won and concede too many goals. But I think Crewe might be in a slightly false position because have had a 3-3 draw against Bury, a goalless draw against Port Vale and lost narrowly at Wigan and in added time at Coventry, so I'm going to give them another home draw here."

Jeff predicts:  Crewe 1-1 Swindon

Punters predict: 29% Oldham 1-1 Bradford City

JEFF SAYS: "Oldham are unbeaten but they do draw a lot of games. Bradford have started the season really slowly by their standards, I expected them to be up with the front-runners in the early stages of the season but it hasn't really happened for them. Their strikers haven't caught fire. I still feel Bradford will be up there at the end of the season but Oldham is a hard place to go and win so I'm going with the 29% and everyone can go home happy with a 1-1 draw."

Jeff predicts: Oldham 1-1 Bradford City

Punters predict: 18% Walsall 2-0 Bury

JEFF SAYS: "Walsall have been fantastic. Dean Smith works on a small budget in League 1 but for them to be sitting at the top of the table defies logic. Bury were promoted last season but ridiculously have scored 10 goals in five league games but haven't managed to win any of them. They haven't kept a clean sheet in all competitions but are obviously going to be working harder on defensive situations, but I think Walsall are going to be brimmed full of confidence and the leaky Bury defence could point the way to a 2-0 score line.

Jeff predicts: Walsall 2-0 Bury
