Accrington v Cheltenham preview

Image: Amine Linganzi: Poised for Stanley debut

Team news for Saturday's League Two clash between Accrington and Cheltenham at the Crown Ground.

Amine Linganzi is available to make his Accrington debut. Former Blackburn midfielder Linganzi signed on a free transfer until the end of the season following a successful trial period with the Reds. Richardson has no new injury worries, with goalkeeper Ian Dunbavin (shoulder) and forward Craig Lindfield (ankle) remaining on the sidelines. Charlie Barnett serves the final game of a three-match ban. Stanley are without a win in six matches since the 1-0 victory over Chesterfield on New Year's Day, their only win in the last 14 league games. Aldershot's midweek win over Torquay dropped them into the relegation zone but defender Peter Murphy insists his team-mates must not fret about the league table. He told the Lancashire Telegraph: "As much as you do look at the table and you're worried that you are down there, you can't do that. You've just got to look at winning the games to get yourselves out of it. There's only us that can do that." Cheltenham defender Steve Elliott has been passed fit for the trip north. The 34-year-old centre-back had to be withdrawn 47 minutes into the 1-1 draw with Aldershot with a dead leg but he has recovered in time to travel to The Crown Ground. Luke McCullough made his professional debut as a replacement for Elliott and the Manchester United loanee is likely to be involved in the matchday squad again after extending his loan stay with the club on Thursday. Striker Paul Benson looks set to keep his place in Mark Yates' starting line-up after scoring for the second successive game. The Robins are just two points off the automatic promotion slots in League Two ahead of the trip.
