Accrington have a host of new signings who could be given debuts in Saturday's season-opening Sky Bet League Two home clash with Doncaster.

Eleven players have been brought in over the summer, with midfielders Arron Davies and Jordan Clark the most recent arrivals earlier this week.

Defender Shay McCartan has been nursing a dead leg but is expected to be available this weekend to boss John Coleman, who has signed a new two-year contract with the club.

Striker Billy Kee appears to have shaken off a knock he picked up in pre-season, having trained on Thursday.

Doncaster's injury crisis has eased after their plans were rocked by the loss of Luke McCullough for the entire campaign.

McCullough suffered cruciate knee ligament damage in last weekend's friendly at York and faces a full year on the sidelines, but others are ready to return for manager Darren Ferguson.

Harry Middleton (knee) and Joe Wright (toe) have missed much of pre-season but are now fit again and ready to be considered, while Paul Keegan (thigh) is back in training.

However, Mathieu Baudry (Achilles), Gary McSheffrey (knee), Craig Alcock (ankle) and Aaron Taylor-Sinclair (knee) remain out as Rovers recover from an injury crisis that forced them to cancel two pre-season friendlies.
