AFC Wimbledon v Scunthorpe preview

Image: Alan Bennett: Faces a late test

Team news for Saturday's League Two clash between AFC Wimbledon and Scunthorpe United at Kingsmeadow.

AFC Wimbledon will check on Alan Bennett ahead of the visit of Scunthorpe. Defender Bennett came off feeling his hamstring during the first half of last weekend's 2-0 defeat at Exeter. Fellow centre-half Will Antwi is still sidelined following a hernia op so recent signing Rhys Weston, who came on for Bennett, could make his full Dons debut. Antwi has resumed light training so should return to action in the next few weeks, while winger Kevin Sainte-Luce is available after a hamstring problem. Scunthorpe could include new loan signing Jimmy Spencer in their squad and summer signing Etienne Esajas could make his first appearance for the club at AFC Wimbledon. Huddersfield striker Spencer joined on loan from Huddersfield on Friday, while Esajas completed 45 minutes for the reserves in midweek after being sidelined with a hamstring injury. Striker Matt Godden is hoping to overcome the knee injury that kept him out last week, while teenager Jamie Wootton could feature again after making his second appearance for the club off the bench in the draw with Dagenham. Midfielder Andy Welsh and on-loan Barnsley striker Jordan Clark are both in contention, while Laws has no new selection worries.
