Barnet v Shrewsbury preview

High-flying Shrewsbury Town travel to 21st-placed Barnet in League One on Tuesday night.

Gillet misses out for Bees; Holt available for Shrews

High-flying Shrewsbury Town travel to 21st-placed Barnet in League Two on Tuesday night. Barnet host Shrewsbury still reeling from the four-game ban handed out to defender Kenny Gillet at the weekend. Gillet was dismissed for the second time this season after a reckless lunge on Chris Turner in the 1-1 draw against Accrington and has been rocked by the ban, which will see him initially miss the game against the Shrews. Gillet's forced omission will see Neal Bishop take the captain's armband, with Nicky Nicolau set to deputise at full-back. Midfielder Abu Ogogo is standing by after he recovered from a stomach injury, while defender Gary Breen has also shaken off a knock and is available. Midfielder Michael Leary is back from suspension and should go straight back into the side although the game comes to soon for defender Ismail Yakubu (hamstring), who should be in contention for Saturday's game away to Exeter.

Shrewsbury team news

Shrewsbury's leading scorer Grant Holt is back in contention for the trip to Barnet. Striker Holt served the second game of a two-match ban for being booked 10 times this season as the Shrews moved back into the play-off places with a 1-0 win against Darlington on Saturday. He is likely to return in attack alongside Richard Walker, who made it two goals in as many games with an early winner against the Quakers. However, fellow forward Nick Chadwick impressed after coming off the bench and he will be hoping to play a more prominent role at Underhill. Midfielder Kevin McIntyre remains a long-term absentee after he suffered a double fracture of the right fibula in the recent clash with Port Vale. Meanwhile, Terry Dunfield could also be in line to make his Shrews debut after completing his move from Macclesfield on Monday.
