Barnsley striker Tom Bradshaw will be assessed before the home game against Leeds after he was involved in a car accident.
Bradshaw is expected to be in contention despite sustaining a minor back injury this week after the car he was driving was hit from behind and written off. Midfielder Joe Williams will return to contention after missing the midweek home defeat to Cardiff due to a one-game ban, while defender Angus MacDonald is also expected back after a foot injury kept him out.
Forward Mamadou Thiam and defender Zeki Fryers both sustained knocks on Tuesday night and will be assessed, while winger Lloyd Isgrove (knee) has missed the last two matches.
Leeds will be without suspended midfielder Ronaldo Vieira following his dismissal in the heavy midweek defeat at Wolves. Vieira will sit out a one-game ban with Eunan O'Kane a likely replacement, although head coach Thomas Christiansen does have other options.
Striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga has missed the last two games due to illness and it remains to be seen whether he can force his way back into Christiansen's plans. Christiansen must decide whether to retain Andy Lonergan in goal or reinstate Felix Wiedwald, while winger Stuart Dallas and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson are also pushing for recalls.
Barnsley have won five of their last six home league matches against Leeds (L1), scoring 17 goals in those five victories.
None of the 30 meetings between these sides at Oakwell in all competitions has ended goalless, with 30 goals scored in the last seven matches.
Leeds have lost their three away Yorkshire derbies in 2017, losing to Barnsley in January, Huddersfield in February and Sheffield Wednesday in October.
Barnsley have on average fielded the youngest starting line-up in the Championship this season (23 years, 220 days).
Leeds haven't conceded three or more goals in three consecutive away league matches since November 2006 (four in a row) - the last match in that run was at Oakwell, a 3-2 defeat.
Samuel Saiz has had a hand in 12 goals for Leeds this season in all competitions (eight goals, four assists), four more than any other player.
A cracking way to start the weekend! It's always a good atmosphere at Oakwell but it usually ratchets up a notch or two when Leeds come to town. Barnsley won this one in January, but they've got almost an entirely different team now and Paul Heckingbottom has done a fantastic job there.
Leeds were hammered at Wolves in midweek but they won't be the first or last side to get a hiding at Molineux this season, and this is another tough trip for them. Score draw for me.
Prutton predicts: 1-1 with Samu Saiz to score first (30/1 with Sky Bet)
