Wanderers take on Swans at the Reebok

Bolton take on Swansea City at the Reebok on Saturday with a place in the fifth round of the FA Cup at stake. Owen Coyle's men needed two bites of the cherry to see off Macclesfield in the last round while Swansea brushed aside Barnsley at Oakwell. Bolton have won the cup four times, although their last success was in 1958 while Swansea have never reached a final. Swansea's 3-1 Premier League win over Bolton in October ended the Welsh side's run of nine winless games against the Trotters. But Bolton have been imperious on home soil against Swansea as they are unbeaten in eight meetings since 1980.

Team news

Bolton will be without new signing Tim Ream for the visit of Brendan Rodgers' troops. The defender has returned to the US to complete the rest of his paperwork and is also likely to miss Wednesday's Premier League meeting with Arsenal. A bug has affected a number of Bolton players this week but boss Coyle is hopeful they will all be fit while Jussi Jaaskelainen (thigh) and Tyrone Mears (broken leg) may be involved. Swansea boss Rodgers has Alan Tate back in his squad as the defender steps up his return from the broken leg he suffered in a golf buggy accident in August. But on-loan centre-half Steven Caulker is unavailable after parent club Tottenham asked that he be left out to avoid being cup-tied in the event that they need to recall him from his season-long deal. Chelsea midfielder Josh McEachran, another loan signing, is set to make his first start for the Swans as he will not be eligible to face the Blues in Tuesday's Premier League fixture between the sides.
