Expect unchanged Addicks; Tangerines lose striker to injury

Charlton face Blackpool knowing anything other than victory and results going their way will relegate them into League One. Addicks boss Phil Parkinson has named the same starting line-up for successive goalless draws against Birmingham and Coventry and is not expected to make changes as Charlton attempt to stave off relegation. Matt Spring pulled out of a reserve game in midweek through illness and will be checked over, although he has not figured in the matchday squad in recent weeks. Fellow midfielder Jose Semedo has stepped up his training following an ankle injury but will not be risked, while defender Jonathan Fortune (Achilles) and striker Andy Gray (pelvis) are still missing. If the Addicks are to have any chance of pulling off an unlikely escape act they must win their last four games and hope two from Nottingham Forest, Barnsley and Norwich fail to pick up another point.

McPhee blow

Meanwhile, Blackpool will be without Stephen McPhee for the trip to Charlton after he suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury playing for the reserves. The striker, who was on the bench for Monday's 2-2 draw with Reading, suffered the injury to his right knee in against Manchester City on Wednesday. The extent of the injury is still unclear but he could require surgery that would keep him out for up to six months. Boss Tony Parkes will also be without Gary Taylor-Fletcher who underwent a knee operation a week and a half ago. But the striker is still hopeful of returning for the final game of the season. Parkes' only other absentee is midfielder Joe Martin who will be missing with a thigh injury as Blackpool go in search of a win that would put them on the brink of Championship survival.
