Cheltenham v Torquay preview

Team news ahead of Tuesday night's League Two clash between Cheltenham Town and Torquay United at Whaddon Road.

Ashley Eastham will be unavailable for Cheltenham having been involved in a minor motor accident. The on-loan Blackpool defender, 19, was not injured in the incident which happened ahead of Saturday's 1-1 draw against Barnet, forcing him to miss out at the weekend. A club spokesman insists Eastham is "completely fine" but he will be excused from duty on Tuesday, with a view to coming back into contention this weekend against Stevenage. Fellow centre-back Andy Gallinagh returned to the bench against Barnet after his double hernia operation and has now fully recovered, although Steve Elliott and Martin Riley are expected to keep their places at the heart of defence. Winger Josh Low (thigh) remains sidelined but will continue to be assessed and could return to be involved against Stevenage. Manager Mark Yates is close to boosting his squad with loan signings and hopes to complete deals in time to face the Gulls, if not then for Saturday. Torquay boss Paul Buckle hopes Billy Kee will shake off a knock in time. The striker scored his seventh goal of the season as the Gulls drew 1-1 at home to Southend on Saturday but the 20-year-old also suffered an ankle injury during the game. "Billy twisted his ankle in the second half and should really have come off but we had used all our subs. He wanted to carry on and that shows the attitude of the lad," said Buckle, who named an unchanged side against Southend. Buckle could opt to freshen up his team at Whaddon Road, with defender Kevin Nicholson as well as midfielders Mark Ellis, Ryan Gilligan and Danny Stevens available for recalls.
