Croatian champions warm up for Spurs visit

Tottenham's Group D rivals Dinamo Zagreb scored two late goals to beat NEC Nigmegen 3-2 in the Uefa Cup. Dinamo took an early lead but looked to be heading for defeat until they struck twice in the last nine minutes to join Spurs' conquerors Udinese on maximum points. The Croatian champions, who are Tottenham's next opponents at White Hart Lane in a fortnight's time, went ahead after just three minutes when Marijo Mandzukic struck a fierce drive into the top corner from the edge of the penalty area. However, NEC were level at the break thanks to an own-goal from Carlos. The Dutch visitors then went in front after 78 minutes through Tim Withelmus Janssen. But they were unable to hang on to their lead as Croatian international Bosko Balaban struck three minutes later after coming on as a half-time substitute. And Zagreb then grabbed the winner when defender Ivica Vrdoljak scored a rare goal from a Mihael Mikiæ corner to give his side a flying start in their bid to reach the last-32.
