    Dundee United are sweating on the fitness of midfielder Morgaro Gomis, while Motherwell defender Shaun Hutchinson is "touch and go".

    Gomis doubtful for Tangerines

    Dundee United are sweating on the fitness of midfielder Morgaro Gomis ahead of Saturday's SPL clash with Motherwell. Senegal international Gomis started the week with an Achilles injury but while that has now cleared up, he has been laid low by a virus. The Tangerines are without Scott Robertson, who is banned following his red card at Celtic last week, so David Robertson is in line to start. Skipper Lee Wilkie is in the squad, but long-term crocks Jon Daly and Francisco Sandaza remain sidelined.

    Motherwell defender Shaun Hutchinson is "touch and go" for the clash. The teenager injured an ankle in training last Friday and will not be risked by manager Jim Gannon if the swelling has not eased. Winger Chris Humphrey has returned to the club following time off and Paul Slane has resumed light training after minor calf surgery, but neither player will be ready for the game.
