Germany head to France on Friday night as both sides continue their preparations for Euro 2016.

The friendly at the Stade de France, the venue for next summer's final, will see a host of players on show who will be attempting to prove their worth ahead of the tournament.

For France, in the absence of Karim Benzema and Mathieu Valbuena, Hatem Ben Arfa is among those who will be keen to impress.

The 28-year-old midfielder won the last of his 13 caps at Euro 2012, but a resurgence in form at Nice this season has seen him recalled to Didier Deschamps' side.

Ben Arfa, who said joining the Ligue 1 club in the summer after spells at Newcastle and Hull was like coming "back from hell", has scored an impressive seven goals in 14 appearances so far this season.

While the absence of Benzema also sees the return of Andre Pierre-Gignac to the squad, who has not featured since last November.

The striker moved to Mexican side Tigres in the summer and thought his international career would be over as a result, but an impressive run of scoring form for the 29-year-old was enough to prove to Deschamps that he was worthy of a recall.

"When I went to Mexico I said it was a 100-1 chance (I'd be selected again)," Gignac said. "It proves it wasn't such a bad choice."

Manchester United striker Anthony Martial is also in line for an appearance, while fellow 19-year-old Kingsley Coman, who is currently on loan at Bayern Munich from Juventus, could make his debut.

For Germany, another player set for a return after a 12-month absence is Julian Draxler, who has not featured for Joachim Low's side in 2015 after managing just four appearances for Schalke last season due to injury.

The 22-year-old midfielder has since moved to Wolfsburg, where he has so far impressed for his new club, and is delighted to be back in the international fold.

"I was very pleased to be selected," he said. "It's been a long time since I was here and I am pleased to be able to play again.

"I couldn't show good performances for quite a time, which had to do with my injury. You have to play on top level to be in the national team. The selection from the coach has shown that he sees me back on the right path."

Toni Kroos, Mesut Ozil and Marco Reus are among those to be rested by Low, while 30-year-old Mario Gomez could win his first cap since last September.

PSG goalkeeper Kevin Trapp and 19-year-old striker Leroy Sane could be in line for their debuts.
