Bulls host Gills in League Two clash

Gillingham travel to Hereford in League Two looking to clinch their first win of the season. The Gills were thumped 4-1 by Norwich in the Carling Cup on Tuesday, following on from their draw at home to Cheltenham last weekend. Hereford, meanwhile, were 1-0 winners at Crewe last Saturday but were convincingly beaten 3-0 by Colchester in midweek. Jack Payne has joined a lengthy injury list at Gillingham ahead of the trip. Payne, 18, suffered a severe dead leg in Tuesday night's defeat at Norwich and will definitely miss out this weekend. Manager Andy Hessenthaler could also be without the services of striker Adebayo Akinfenwa, who is battling to overcome an illness, while Curtis Weston is rated doubtful due to a thigh injury. Cody McDonald, Garry Richards (both ankle), Dennis Oli (hamstring) and Barry Fuller (knee) all remain on the sidelines for the Kent club. However, Andrew White could feature after he overcame a hamstring problem to feature as a late substitute at Carrow Road. The Gills failed to record a league victory on their travels last season and will be keen to get off the mark as early as possible this time around. Hereford manager Simon Davey could be tempted to make changes for his first league match at Edgar Street against the promotion favourites. Midfielder Kenny Lunt's inclusion in place of Sean Canham was the only change against the Us from the side that secured all three points at Gresty Road, and Davey may decide to revert to his original XI.
