Bayer held by basement boys

Adrian Ramos' last-gasp goal earned Hertha Berlin a 2-2 draw with Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen on Friday night. Bayer looked to be heading for all three points after they came from behind to take a 2-1 lead until Ramos popped up with an equaliser deep into stoppage time. Colombian striker Ramos gave Hertha the perfect start after just nine minutes when he beat the Bayer offside trap to score. Bayer drew level on 76 minutes when Toni Kroos' deflected shot found its way into the back of the net. Things got worse for Hertha a minute later when Gojko Kacar was sent off for a second bookable offence. The visitors looked to have won it in the final minute when substitute Burak Kaplan's deflected effort looped over Hertha keeper Jaroslav Drobny. Hertha refused to give in though and drew level three minutes into added time when Ramos rose highest to head home from a corner. The draw moves Bayer four points clear at the top of the table, while Hertha remain rooted to the bottom with just six points to their name.
