Foxes wait on Tunchev, Zakuani out for Posh

Aleksandar Tunchev could feature for Leicester against fellow high-flyers Peterborough, who are without Gabriel Zakuani. Leaders Leicester are on a seven-match unbeaten run in the league, while Posh have not been beaten in their last 16 outings. Bulgarian defender Tunchev missed Leicester's victory at Carlisle with a groin injury, and a late decision will be made on his fitness after he resumed training this week. Manager Nigel Pearson said: "He has a chance of being available and we will look at him again. He trained on Thursday and we just need to see if there is any reaction. "As far as availability for Saturday, it will be pretty much the same squad as last week." Michael Morrison is likely to continue his partnership with Liverpool loanee Jack Hobbs at the heart of City's defence.

Peterborough news

Zakuani has completed his three-month loan from Fulham - during which time he never appeared in a beaten Posh side in the league - and despite agreeing a permanent move is ineligible to play for the club again until the transfer window reopens on New Year's Day. His absence over the festive period will see Chris Westwood resume his defensive partnership with Craig Morgan. Right-back Russell Martin came through the full 90 minutes of last weekend's 2-2 draw with Oldham after a groin injury so will be fit to start. Manager Darren Ferguson has no fresh injury concerns and is only without long-term absentees Jamie Day (back) and Shane Blackett (shoulder).
