Manuel Pellegrini will be looking for a response from his Manchester City side as they travel to Germany to take on Borussia Monchengladbach in the Champions League.
City were humbled 4-1 at White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon, their third loss in four games in all competitions.
They suffered a 2-1 home defeat to last year's finalists Juventus in their opening Champions League group stage match, a result that means they have won just two of their last 11 games in the competition.
Borussia Monchengladbach were last season's surprise package in the Bundesliga, finishing third behind Bayern Munich and VfL Wolfsburg, but they have struggled to match that form so far this season.
They lost their first five Bundesliga games to start the campaign, leading to the resignation of head coach Lucien Favre.
They have since rallied to win their last two under interim coach Andre Schubert - a 4-2 victory at home to FC Augsburg and a 3-1 away win against struggling Stuttgart.
Team news
David Silva (calf) and Yaya Toure (hamstring) trained ahead of the trip to Germany, and both have a chance of returning on Wednesday evening. Silva has not played since picking up a calf injury in the club's opening Champions League group stage game against Juventus.
Joe Hart (back) also took part in training after he was only fit enough for the bench against Tottenham.
But a number of Man City players missed the session on Tuesday morning and will not feature against Monchengladbach - Vincent Kompany (calf), Eliaquim Mangala (groin), Gael Clichy (ankle), Fabian Delph (hamstring) and Wilfried Bony were all absent.
As for Borussia Monchengladbach, Schubert confirmed that right-back Tony Jantschke (calf) returned to training before their game against Stuttgart and is fit to play a part. But club captain Martin Stranzl (foot) is a long-term absentee.
