Jermaine Jenas and Michael Dawson have signed contract extensions at Spurs until 2013.
Ramos awards contract extensions to Jenas and Dawson
Tottenham boss Juande Ramos has moved to secure the long-term futures of both Jermaine Jenas and Michael Dawson by tying the pair to deals until 2013.
A whirlwind summer of transfer activity at White Hart Lane has seen Ramos shed his squad of big names Robbie Keane, Paul Robinson, Teemu Tainio and Pascal Chimbonda - with Younes Kaboul and Steed Malbranque also poised at the exit door - but Jenas and Dawson have survived the Spaniard's cull.
Jenas' form in the second half of last season saw him win an England recall and the 25-year-old has been rewarded with a lucrative contract extension.
Since moving to the capital in August 2005 from Newcastle, Jenas has gone on to make 111 appearances in a Spurs shirt.
Jenas said: "We got a taste of success by winning the Carling Cup last season and I believe there is more to come. I definitely want to be part of a bright future for Tottenham."
Central defender Dawson, who impressed Ramos with some assured displays last term, has made 136 appearances since moving to North London from Nottingham Forest in 2005.
Dawson added on the club's official website: "Spurs is a great place to be. When I was offered a new deal I didn't think twice about signing.
"The club has progressed since I've been here. We won our first trophy in nine years and, hopefully, we'll add some more silverware and finish a lot higher in the league next season."
