Luton goalkeeper Mark Tyler has returned to Peterborough as player-coach.

The 38-year-old, who made over 450 appearances for Posh between 1994 and 2009, has rejoined the club on an initial three-month loan.

He will take up coaching duties as well as hoping to add further appearances to his name.

He told the club's official website: "I am really happy to be here. I have to say a big thank you to Luton Town, the board of directors and the manager for allowing this to happen.

"I told them there was not another club I would have left them to join, but everyone knows what Peterborough United means to me.

"I am delighted to be back and I can't wait to start working with the goalkeepers at the club. I am 38, 39 next month, but I am still raring to go when it comes to playing and I can't wait to get started on the training ground.

Tyler has made 31 appearances for Luton this season, including one against Posh in the FA Cup, and exits after joining the Hatters in 2009.
