QPR midfielder Karl Henry has signed a new one-year contract extension with the club.

Henry, 33, has committed himself to another season at QPR after spending the last three years at Loftus Road.

"I was happy to stay if the club wanted me to, so I'm really pleased they did. I'm delighted to have it sorted ahead of pre-season," Henry told the club's official website.

"The manager was paramount in my decision to stay here. He sat me down at the end of last season and made it clear what he expects from me.

"I'm very confident about the season ahead with this manager in charge.

"If we can find the consistency we're all craving, high performance levels week in week out, I think we can have a good campaign."
