West Brom boss Tony Pulis has been impressed with how club-record signing Nacer Chadli has settled into life at The Hawthorns.

Chadli, a £13m summer arrival from Tottenham, has made a bright start, scoring three goals and setting up two others in his four matches for the club.

Such early season form earned him a call-up to the Belgium squad after he was overlooked for the European Championships in the summer.

However, Chadli's demeanour away from the field and his ability to bond with the rest of the West Brom team has also caught Pulis' eye.

"Nacer's done well, we've been really pleased with him not just the way he's played, but also the way he's mixed well with the group," he said.

"All the players we brought in and have integrated well. The spirit there is very good and we've got to try and maintain that with good results.

"Performances help, but he's settled in with the group off the pitch as well. He's got a good manner about him.

"I think they look up to him as well in respect that technically he's an exceptional player. Let's hope he keeps scoring goals."

Chadli should line up against his former club Tottenham on Saturday, but striker Salomon Rondon is a concern following his return from international duty with Venezuela.

"Salomon came in late so we'll have a look at him on Friday," said Pulis.

"Everybody's got to deal with it. There's a lot of South Americans playing in England now so it's not just us who have to deal with it. A lot of clubs have to as well.

"We'll assess him and along with a couple of others who have done a lot of travelling. It's just seeing who's come back physically strong enough and whether they've had enough rest to play in what will be a very tough game for us."

If Rondon is not fit, Pulis must decide whether to give Hal Robson-Kanu his first start or play Saido Berahino against the club who made several attempts to buy him in successive transfer windows.
