Queen of the South have completed the signing of James McFadden on a short-term deal.

The 34-year-old former Scotland international has been training with the Championship club for the past two months.

McFadden, who scored 15 goals in 48 appearances for his country, left Motherwell in May at the end of his third spell at Fir Park.

Queens manager Gary Naysmith said: "I'm delighted to have James join us, his experience will be invaluable especially for the younger players.
