Taylor reveals departures

Bradford City boss Peter Taylor has confirmed the release of seven players. Matthew Clarke, Jonathan Bateson, Rory Carson, Matthew Convey, Matthew Glennon, Steven O'Leary and Luke Sharry have all been told they can leave. Taylor admits releasing Clarke - who has been with the club since 2006 - was a difficult decision. "It was a tough decision with Matt [Clarke] but I'm going to look around in that position to see what's out there," he told the Telegraph & Argus. "But if I don't find what I want there's a chance I might ring Matt again because he's big, strong, left-footed and has good experience, which is what I will be looking for. "I feel for Steve O'Leary because as soon as I got here he was injured and I haven't been able to see enough of him to offer another contract. "With Matt Glennon I couldn't guarantee he'd be number one and, financially for us, I would have had to do that to keep him on the same wages. But he is another one I might look at again. "We need a very, very good team and I've got to be 100 per cent honest with myself on that. I'm only going to have players here I feel are going to do a very good job."
