Energie Cottbus say they will only allow Racing Santander to sign Marc-Andre Kruskat for a substantial fee.

La Liga club set sights on German midfielder

Midfielder Marc-Andre Kruska is the latest target of Racing Santander, but will only be released from current club Energie Cottbus for a substantial fee. The 23-year-old, who previously played for Borussia Dortmund, has attracted the attention of the La Liga outfit this summer. Kruska is contracted with Energie Cottbus until June 2012 after joining the former Bundesliga club last year. Santander have reportedly made an unsuccessful £800,000 bid for the former teenage sensation, and Energie Cottbus manager Claus-Dieter Wollitz insists the midfielder will be staying put unless an interested club match the asking price of £4million. "We have received a bid from that club for the services of Marc-Andre Kruska and I have instantly given info to the board of our club," Wollitz told BILD. "Kruska is a vital player for our team. He has told me he has no ambitions to move on and leave Cottbus. "And we will not permit him to move on until we have received a bid matching our asking price of £4m."
