South African hoping for international call-up

Feyenoord midfielder Kamohelo Mokotjo has set his sights on his first South Africa call-up. The 19-year-old, a former Supersport United player, was handed his first-team jersey at the Eredivisie club this season. And despite Feyenoord's disappointing start to the campaign, Mokotjo is keen to play for the Bafana Bafana in the near future. "It is every players dream to represent his country and I am no exception," Mokotjo told KickOff.com. "Maybe the national team coach has not had a reason to look at me up until now, but I will not give up but continue working hard." The youngster says his main focus is helping South Africa's Under 23 squad qualify for the 2012 Olympics in London, but is unsure when he will join up with the side due to visa issues. He added: "I am happy to receive a call up to the Under 23s for the international friendly game against Iran, so my main focus now is to help my country to qualify for the 2012 Olympics. "There have been some complications with regards to my visa, but I hope these will be sorted out soon."
