Tottenham defender Younes Kaboul has admitted that he dreams of playing for France. The 24-year-old has taken advantage of the injuries to Jonathan Woodgate and Ledley King to claim a play in the side in recent weeks. And with the totemic form he is now displaying in the Premier League and Champions League, the former Portsmouth defender is now eyeing a place in Laurent Blanc's France team.

Internazionale

"The match that I played in against Internazionale makes me believe that I am a good player," he told L'Equipe. "Of course, I am thinking about the French team. I am a French citizen and I am a competitor too. I will just have to wait and see." Kaboul's resurgence has not gone unnoticed by his club manager Harry Redknapp, who brought him from Portsmouth to Spurs. And the Tottenham boss believes his defender has the ability to reach the same level the exciting Gareth Bale is now showing.
Amazing
"He is calm and amazing in the air but he can still show some lapses in concentration sometimes," said Redknapp. "If he can correct that, he has everything to be an amazing player. He is cast in the same mould as Gareth Bale."
