Youngster pens 12-month contract
Louis Almond has committed his future to Blackpool for another year, with the youngster signing a 12-month contract at Bloomfield Road.
The 20-year-old forward was among a collection of players to be offered fresh terms by the Seasiders this summer.
He has now put pen to paper and will remain with the Championship promotion hopefuls in 2012/13.
Almond is a product of Blackpool's academy system and is tipped for a bright future in the game.
He made his senior bow for the Seasiders during a Carling Cup tie in 2009, but much of his experience to date has been picked up during loan spells.
Opportunities
Almond took in a stint with Cheltenham in 2010, before trying his luck at Barrow.
He re-joined the non-league outfit last summer and remained on their books until January.
With opportunities still limited at Blackpool, he saw out the 2011/12 campaign on the books of Lincoln City.
He has been a regular for Blackpool's reserve side in recent years and will be hoping to force his way into the first-team over the course of the next 12 months.
