Charlton defender Rhoys Wiggins has been ruled out for around six weeks after fracturing a bone in his foot.

The 27-year-old left-back suffered the injury during the 2-2 draw at Leeds on Tuesday evening and has already seen a specialist.

The news comes as a blow to boss Bob Peeters, who has only just welcomed key men Johann Berg Gudmundsson and top scorer Igor Vetoleke back from spells out injured.

Peeters said after the match: "We were just getting back to full strength and then we lose another player.

"It's a contact injury that you can't do anything about."
