Leicester's latest signing Mark Schwarzer believes his new side have the quality to stay up, despite being bottom of the league

Mark Schwarzer believes Leicester City’s recent results “has been a testament to their attitude”.

Schwarzer, 42, signed for Leicester on Tuesday on a free transfer and has no qualms about swapping Chelsea for the relegation battle.

He has praised the attitude of the players this season referring to Leicester’s 2-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge earlier in the season.

Schwarzer added: “They were having a bad run and you could still see that no one was letting their head hang and players were still fighting for the cause.”

“The last couple of games is a testament to this attitude.”

Schwarzer has insisted that he is still in love with football and is in no rush to retire from the sport.

“You’re a long time retired - in a normal job you could retire but then next week decide you want to come back, whereas in football, it’s not that easy”, said Schwarzer.
